DS1240

It's usable for schools, institutions, as part of sound systems for shops, where more spaces need to be provided with sound in a 100V system.

It's advantage is, that more speakers can be driven, on the same levels from a central location.

Output
On the back side a SPEAKON connector can be found, through this the speakers can be connected to the amplifier. Connection should be done by professionals, because during it's use on the output connector a 100V sound signal frequency is present!

Input
For receiving the input signal on the back side a pair of XLR connectors can be found. The XLR is the input, the other with it's parallel current circuit XLR input is serving the signal connection to other devices. The input is symmetrically designed, to avoid disturbance. it's also providing a galvanic separation between the input and the output. In the case of an asymmetric sound source in the XLR switch point 3 should be connected with 1.

Display
The ERROR LED lights up in case of abnormal function. On the back side of the amp the XLR, the output SPEAKON, and a power lead connection can be found. The knob next to the input is serving for the level changes on the output volume.

Security Systems
In- and Out transient oppression
Input overload protection
High frequency interference oppression
Shortstop protection: - dissipation power - leveling, - electricity leveling
Speaker protection of output power and low frequencies.

Cooling Systems
The cooling of the amp is provided by a direct current ventilation system, which is working with the help of sensors, that sense the temperature of the inside of the amp. The rev of the ventilator is low after turning the amp on. The rev gradually increases with the temperature of the power devices. In case of overheating the sensors shut down the charge from the output. During the use of the amp air flow should be secured, or the temperature security could shut down the amplifier. Constant high temperatures can also damage the components of the amp.
